Put simply, poetry comics get us thinking about the way words and pictures go together.
This workshop encourages students to think critically about how language and visuals can be used to manipulate interpretation through adverts, memes and different artworks.
It also aims to inspire students to more confidently interpret (and explore our need to ‘understand’) different artworks.
Participants will then create their own poetry comic using a variety of materials (ink, collage, typewriter).
